(Part Time, Remote Working)

This role is to support the Darley Anderson Agency Dramatic Rights Agent, across a list of commercial fiction (both adults and children’s) and non-fiction.

The ambition of our TV and Film arm is to set up dramatic adaptations of our books with both UK and Global buyers. Recent adaptations to be released are THE HOLIDAY by T M Logan coming to Channel 5, YOU DON’T KNOW ME by Imran Mahmood on BBC1/Netflix and RISE AND SHINE, BENEDICT STONE by Phaedra Patrick to the Hallmark Channel.

Primary responsibilities will be administrative: organising execution of contracts and managing payment schedules, using royalty management system Bradbury Philips, logging and following up on invoices and submissions, organising diaries and meetings, updating systems, as well as dealing with initial requests and enquiries from writers, colleagues and producers. In-house training will be provided for all systems.

Secondary responsibilities will be reading manuscripts and screenplays and writing reports, and involvement in submission strategy and submissions.

The right candidate must be detail-oriented, organised, able to work independently and prioritise their own workload.

Qualifying criteria:
- Any film / tv / publishing / literary agency office experience
- confidence with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel as comfort with numbers and spreadsheets is essential,
- a good communicator with strong written and verbal and communication skills,
- a quick reader who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable across film, tv, and books,
- a solid understanding of social media platforms and how to use them.

This remote working role is offered on a part-time basis on a fixed 12 month contract. Working 15 hours a week with a salary of £11.55 per hour, (gross salary of £9,009 pa.) The intention is this will become a full time role over time.Training can be done remotely, and we will organise opportunities to meet with the team in London, and will cover standard class travel expenses.
