Emma Bamford
Emma Bamford’s debut thriller DEEP WATER was published by Simon & Schuster in the UK and US in 2022.
Emma is an author and journalist who has worked for national newspapers and magazines including The Independent, the Daily Express, the Mirror, Sailing Today and BOAT International.
Her first memoir, Casting Off, which explained what happened after she answered an ad on the internet for ‘crew wanted’ and bought a one-way ticket to Borneo to live on a yacht with a man she’d never met, was published by Bloomsbury in 2014. A sequel, Untie the Lines, followed in 2016.
DEEP WATER is her fiction debut. An earlier draft was shortlisted for the 2019 Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Prize for Best Unpublished Manuscript.
Emma lives in the UK, and is working on her second novel.
