Donna Marchetti spent her childhood moving around a lot - from Florida, to Chile, to Arizona - before finally settling down in Upstate New York. By day she works as an accounting assistant, and the rest of her time is spent writing and dreaming up new book ideas. When she's not writing, she can be found hiking with her three dogs or competing in agility with her dalmatian on the weekends. She is currently working on her next novel.
It might be a stretch to say Naomi and Luca have been pen-pals since fifth grade but in fact, between their creative verbal sparring, there’s been little room for hugs and kisses.
However, what starts out as a snail-mail rivalry turns into an unexpected friendship, mapping coastlines and decades. That is, until the letters suddenly stop.
Now in her late-twenties, it’s been two years since Naomi last heard from Luca. Two years since the letter that changed everything.
But when, one day, a new letter turns up out of the blue at her desk at the local news station, Naomi is determined not to let Luca have the final word. The only catch, there’s no return address.
Naomi embarks on a campaign to track Luca down, but as she gets closer to uncovering the truth, she must ask herself whether there’s something more behind their letters, and whether she’s brave enough to meet the man behind the words.
