WRITERS MEAN BUSINESS 
From
a successful modelling career in the 80's, Lucy progressed to successfully
co-hosting Channel 4's popular quiz show 'Countdown' for two years. She
went on to become the home expert for Good Morning with Anne & Nick
(BBC) fronting three successful home & garden improvement programmes
over a three year period. From here, it seemed a natural progression to
move on and present ITV ’ s ‘ Homegrown ’ gardening series.
During this period, Lucy established a successful landscape design partnership
with projects undertaken for clients both abroad and nationwide.
As an RHS qualified horticulturalist, she has staged show gardens at the
Chelsea Flower Show and has been awarded much coveted Gold and Silver medals
for her garden designs.
In 2004 Lucy co-hosted ‘Britain's Best Back Gardens’ for ITV,
where she traversed crossed the British Isles trying to track down the best
gardens in the country. Her travels in TV land have bought her in to contact
with all kinds of gardeners with diverse approaches and garden styles.
More recently, she was the gardening correspondent for Ideal Home Magazine
and regularly contributes garden articles and advice for numerous publications.
She also lectures on gardening subjects for all manner of clubs and organizations,
including local gardening clubs to P&0 cruise lines.
She has a long-term partner and they have a daughter Elle.
