A highly successful journalist, Liz was the high-profile crime correspondent of The Irish Sunday Independent before she left to write The Set Up .
In the course of her journalistic career she traveled to Bosnia and has focused on coverage of gangland activity in Ireland. She has interviewed notorious criminals inside and outside the Irish and British prison systems, and has had to give evidence in various gangland trials. Her undercover investigative journalism has included the worlds of gun running, prostitution, plastic surgery and drug dealing.
