OUR
WRITERS MEAN BUSINESS
Emma Garcia has lived and worked for many years in London as a waitress, technical assistant, chamber maid, sandwich designer, product manager, illustrator and teacher.
Emma has completed an MA in creative writing at Roehampton University and has published three children’s books (Boxer books). Never Google Heartbreak is her first adult novel loosely based around her own experiences of being in her thirties and single in London, of being dumped, getting over it, falling in love and getting married.
She now lives in the countryside near York with her husband and three children under five.
Never Google Heartbreak tells the story of London girl Vivienne who – upon being dumped by her fiancé Rob for the third time– finds herself single, devastated and determined to get herself out of this rut.
Googling heartbreak inspires her to set up a relationship website.
But the advice she gets on it doesn’t seem to be helping her get Rob back. On the contrary, it seems to be pointing her in the direction of Max – artist, best friend and practically-professional flirt.
Will Rob realise his mistake? Will Viv fall for Max? And can having your heart broken ever lead to true love?
