WRITERS MEAN BUSINESS 
Barbara Baker grew up in London and got a degree in English at Aberystwyth University.
Before becoming a writer she owned and ran an antiquarian bookshop; worked as a stage manager; cast film extras; and worked as an editor. She has had eight books published on subjects ranging from gardeners to film crew, all of which have won acclaim.
Barbara currently lives with her husband in West London but is planning a move to the Cotswolds. She enjoys gardening, photography and frog-watching.
Barbara's most recent book, Dream Gardens of England was a finalist in the Garden Media Guild Inspirational Book of the Year awards.
