OUR WRITERS MEAN BUSINESS
Anne
Baker trained as a nurse at Birkenhead General hospital. After her marriage
she went to live first in Libya and then in Nigeria. She eventually returned
to her native Birkenhead where she worked as a health visitor for over ten
years before taking up writing.
Her Merseyside sagas are irresistible and unputdownable which explains why
The Guardian’s list of top 100 library authors ranks Anne higher
than Charlotte Bingham and Meg Hutchinson.
