The Darley Anderson Literary, TV and Film Agency was founded in 1988 by ex-publisher Darley Anderson and is based in London with a regional office in the book town of Hay-on–Wye on the English/Welsh borders.
The Agency handles a broad range of bestselling commercial Fiction, Non-Fiction and Children’s books.

The oldest writer ever to be taken on at the Agency is Elizabeth Waite aged 70 who has now published 17 books. The two most prolific writers at the Agency are Anne Baker and Lynda Page. Other prolific writers of long standing include Gloria Cook, David Wishart, Fr Ken Leech and Tessa Barclay.
Adrian Plass, bestselling author of 32 books has been at the Agency since its inception.
Working with Darley Anderson at the Agency to further build on the enormous success he has had with top selling international crime and thriller writers is Camilla Bolton. Only four months after joining the Agency Camilla talent spotted a new writer whom she subsequently sold in the US for a high six-figure advance.
Zoë King at the Agency is expanding the list of Non-Fiction writers which is currently strong in the areas of memoir, health, popular psychology, self-help, animal books, gardening, inspirational and religious.

The Darley Anderson Children’s Book Agency Ltd was recently set up as a separate company and is dedicated to building a prestigious Children's and Young Adult list. Among the Bestselling writers represented are Cathy Cassidy, Michelle Harrison, Helen Grant and Rob Stevens.
US book sales are handled directly by the Darley Anderson Agency. But for sales of books or original scripts to US Film and TV companies the Agency works as it has for the last 15 years, in association with top Talent Agent Steve Fisher of the APA Agency in Los Angeles.
In foreign language book sales, the Darley Anderson Agency has great success in placing books with international publishers around the world.
Over the past twenty years the Agency has built up an extensive worldwide network of foreign contacts, working with leading subagents and directly with foreign publishers.
Madeleine Buston, ably assisted by Kasia Behnke, oversees all aspects of the rights department; holding regular auctions, negotiating major deals and meeting over two hundred foreign editors at every major international book fair.
The focus at the Agency is on making our writers international bestsellers. The trans-Atlantic No.1 bestseller, Lee Child, is now sold in 38 territories. His worldwide sales are an astonishing 30 million copies.
The Rights Team has negotiated almost 30 translations rights deals each for other individual writers including Martina Cole, John Connolly, Tana French and Rani Manicka. And out writers have been bestsellers in countries including Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, and in as faraway places as Taiwan.
